About Our Practice

Meow Doctors is a well-established, independently owned feline veterinary clinic providing comprehensive wellness, medical, surgical, and dental care. We operate on an appointment-only basis, so please call to schedule your appointment.

Our small team takes great care to ensure that cats are treated with the individualized attention they deserve. Our mission is to provide your four-legged feline friend with the quality of care we would give our own pets!

Meet Our Staff

Mallory Clayton, DVM

Dr. Clayton graduated from Purdue University, College of Veterinary Medicine, with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019. Dr. Clayton has her sights set on becoming board certified in feline practice and actively engages in cat-specific continuing education. She has earned the Cat Friendly Veterinarian Certificate from the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), which demonstrates her commitment to advancing the standards of care for cats. Dr. Clayton credits her cream mackerel tabby, Finn, for her love of all things feline and has since added three more cats to her household – Baloo, Ducky, & Quiche. The rest of her zoo at home consists of two chinchillas, several chickens, a husband, and a feisty toddler. Outside of work these days, her time is spent trying to keep up with Maisie (ideally with coffee in hand), but she also enjoys spending time outside doing activities like hiking and camping.

Alayna, RVT

Alayna graduated from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine with her degree in Veterinary Nursing and obtained her Registered Veterinary Technician license in 2021. She began working at the Cat Hospital in the summer of 2020 as an intern where she fell in love with cats and has never looked back! Alayna also serves as Meow Doctors’ practice manager– so while you may not always see her when you’re in the clinic, she is behind the scenes helping everything run smoothly for you and your kitties! In Alayna’s free time, she enjoys hiking and traveling with family and friends, and she has an unhealthy addiction to reality TV. At home she has 2 crazy cats of her own, Jinx and Miso, and is hoping to add a 3rd (pending husband approval).

Buffy, Veterinary Assistant

Buffy has been with the Greater Lafayette Cat Hospital since September of 1998. In addition to her veterinary career, she also worked as an EMT for 8 years.  Buffy lives in Francesville with 2 “puppers” (Bella and Severide). She enjoys gardening but welcomes you to come weed for her.

Kari, Client Service Representative

Kari has been a part time kennel assistant with Meow Doctors since August 2021 but joined us full time as our Client Service Representative in June 2024. She came to us with a background in psychology and social work and a lifelong passion for working with animals. At home, she pursues creative endeavors like reading and writing (usually with assistance from some naughty fosters or her Catahoula/Lab rescue, Tipper Rose) and restoring vintage typewriters. She enjoys travel, especially when said travel incorporates live music or visiting aquariums, and is obsessed with Formula 1.
