Disease-Related Web Sites

  • Heartworm Society    Everything you ever wanted to know about heartworm disease can be found here!
  • Asthma.  Is your cat wheezing or having trouble breathing?  It could be asthma or heartworm disease.
  • National Animal Poison Control Center
    This is the website of the National Animal Poison Control Center. It includes a library, links to other sites, and phone numbers for the poison control center.
  • Chronic Renal Failure in Cats
  • Polycystic Kidney Disease in Cats.  This devastating disease is most common in Persians and Himalayans.
  • Hyperthyroidism.  An overactive thyroid is common in senior cats and can cause significant weight loss.
  • Diabetes.  Overweight cats are at risk for developing diabetes and arthritis.
